Success story: Growing through curiosity — Elena Raluca Sincu
2/14/20262 min read

In aviation, true growth often begins with curiosity — the desire to understand more, see the bigger picture, and keep evolving within the industry. Elena Raluca Sincu is a great example of this mindset.
Currently working as a Cabin Crew Supervisor at Qatar Airways, Elena has already achieved a strong leadership position in one of the world’s most respected airlines. Yet, rather than settling into routine, she made a conscious decision to invest further in herself and her professional development.
In August 2025, Elena enrolled in the Flight Dispatcher (FOO) Initial Training Course at Airline Operations Academy. Her motivation was clear: to deepen her understanding of airline operations, strengthen her technical knowledge, and explore additional paths for growth — all while remaining fully engaged in her current aviation career.
A programme shaped around real life
The training was delivered through live, instructor-led online sessions, carefully adapted to Elena’s professional schedule. This flexibility allowed her to learn without pressure, while still completing the full initial Flight Dispatcher programme, including operational scenarios, case studies, and applied decision-making exercises.
Throughout the course, Elena stood out for her consistency, curiosity, and strong engagement. She approached each topic with genuine interest, connecting theory to real operational experience from her airline background.
As part of the programme, Elena also had the opportunity to participate in practical industry exposure, including a visit to the Vilnius ATC Tower and an on-site aircraft maintenance facility visit. These elements complemented the training by adding real-world operational context — reinforcing how different aviation functions connect behind the scenes.
Student feedback
Reflecting on her experience, Elena emphasized the individual attention, patient instruction, and supportive learning environment throughout the course. She highlighted how the training was not rushed, allowing time to fully understand complex operational topics and ask questions freely.
Elena successfully completed the programme and received her Flight Dispatcher certificate in February 2026, marking an important milestone in her continuous professional journey.
At Airline Operations Academy, we are proud to support aviation professionals like Elena — individuals who choose growth, curiosity, and long-term development. Flexible training solutions make it possible to learn, expand, and progress — without stepping away from an active aviation career.
